Update on Water Main Break at high school

According to the Princeton Union Eagle the water main break was the result of old plumbing. The school had to be closed because there was no water shut off to that area of the school other than to shut off water to the whole school. See link to story below. http://www.unioneagle.com/2005/December/29water.html

Water Damage Update

Update on water damage at Princeton High School. My understanding is that a water fountain and a urinal were knocked off the wall in the school Wednesday morning and that was the cause of the flooding.

Property Taxes Increase despite lower levy

An interesting article appeared in the Union Eagle this week regarding our property taxes. Those of you who live in Mille Lacs county need to pay particular attention. Despite the fact that the property tax levy for the city is going down your property taxes will be going up. The Mille Lacs county assessors office increased the valuation of most homes in the city of Princeton by 25% over last year. Remember as your reading this article that the numbers quoted do not include the School levy increase approved by the voters recently. Do you find it interesting that the information that the county assessor increased the value of our homes by 25% did not come out until after the school levy election? The article unfortunately is not posted on the Union Eagle website, if it appears I will put a link to it here.
